How to play video?
Both live and archive video is broadcasted form Prague Congress Centre in two streaming technologies in parallel, WindowsMedia and RealMedia, so that users on most computer platforms can watch it and follow what is going on here.
Software to play
To play the video in your computer, you need to have a player software. Windows users typically have Windows Media Player installed in their systems. Linux distributions often come with Real Player. If you do not have a player software, please follow these links and download one:
- Microsoft Windows Media Player
- Real Media Player for Windows (from Real.com)
- Real Media Player for Linux (from Real.com)
- Real Alternative for Windows (lightweight alternative to RMPlayer)
To watch video in a web page embedded object, you may need to alter security settings of your browser like running ActiveX components (applies to Internet Explorer) or install an additional plugin (Mozilla, Opera). Plugins for Firefox and Opera are available on following sites:
Slow or fast connection?
We prepare video streams in several different bitrates and resolutions. You do not have to worry about this, as the choice of the best suitable resolution is made by the software (WMPlayer) automatically based on the actual capacity of your internet connection.
WindowsMedia streams are broadcasted in following formats and bitrates:
- 640x480 - 800 and 450kbps
- 320x200 - 350 and 200kbps
- 192x144 - 100kbps
RealMedia streams are broadcasted in a single bitrate only:
- 320x200 - 250kbps
Schedule of live sessions and video archive
On the "Live streaming" page you find a schedule of planned events that we will broadcast live from Prague Congress Centre. The schedule list gives you information about title, presenter or abstract and about the time when it starts. All times are given in CEST (Central European Summer Time), but you may use an tool to convert CEST time to your local time.
If you miss a live transmission session, you may use our videoarchive, where we publish all sessions that have been streamed live previously.
